New digital K-12 platform launches in Singapore
The platform, which launched this month with several high-profile K-12 schools in Singapore, makes tailored recommendations to parents based on conversations with them. This allows families to compare a number of schools that meet their needs “and delve into detailed profiles covering educational and extra-curricular offerings”, the company said.
Doris already has hundreds of international school profiles uploaded onto its interface, with development plans meaning that the platform will “seamlessly connect families directly with schools” in the future.
On the other side of the platform, marketing and admissions professionals from K-12 schools will be able to see a data dashboard containing information on how prospective families engage with their institutions’ profile, which can be “enriched” with images, news releases and social media feeds.
Schools will also be given data on prospective families motivations and interests when the platform matches them.
Dulwich College Singapore, Singapore American School and :several other notable institutions have already joined the platform.
CEO Nik Higgins, formerly of The Ambassador Platform, said he “genuinely” believed that Doris would create positive change for “a sector that has relied for too long on a semi-effective patchwork of school listing sites, consultants and agents”.
“Our generative AI model can make highly informed recommendations based on conversations between parents and our virtual assistant, Doris. As the platform evolves, schools will be notified of highly qualified, high-intent matches from parents who wish to connect with them,” he added.
Doris chief advisor and non-executive director Jason Hopper, who is also director of operations and customer experience at the German European School Singapore, lamented that while the K-12 sector has seen rapid growth in recent years, tools to support schools and families “have not kept pace” with the “dynamic” market’s needs.

“When Nik introduced me to Doris, I immediately recognised its potential to bridge that gap and create real value for both families and schools,” he said.
“The ability for schools to gain deeper insights into prospective families’ motivations and preferences is a game-changer for admissions and marketing professionals.”
